Miguel F. Machado

Miguel F. Machado is the Assistant Director, Supply Chain Management at Texas Children's Hospital. Prior to this role, Miguel was the Director of Supply Chain Management and Hospital Operations for Harris Health System in Houston. He also served as the Chief Procurement Officer and Director of Supply Chain Management for Baylor College of Medicine located in the Texas Medical Center (TMC) in Houston. He is a strategic visionary that has been responsible for the complete Procure-to-Pay function including purchasing, materials and inventory management and receiving. Miguel previously worked at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He is an active member of The Institute of Supply Management (ISM) and is also on the Executive Advisory Board for ISM Houston. Miguel has functioned on the TMC Strategy & Operations Council and brings over 18 years of experience as a healthcare supply chain professional. He is a graduate of the University of Houston with a BBA degree in Information Systems and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
