Gregory Plemmons

Gregory B. Plemmons currently serves as Senior Vice President – Sales for Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc., a position he has held since January 2019. He is responsible for Old Dominion’s field sales, corporate accounts, global services, and national accounts.

Plemmons joined Old Dominion Freight Line in 1997 as Regional Sales Director before being named director of the newly formed OD Global Division in 2000. In that role, he oversaw all sales and operations for Old Dominion outside the continental U.S. as well as their ocean container drayage division. Before being named to his current position, Plemmons was Old Dominion’s Vice President – Sales.

Plemmons spent time with Carolina Freight Carriers Corp. after attaining degrees in Business Management and Economics from North Carolina State University. After completing the sales training program at Carolina, Greg held the positions of Account Executive, Service Center Manager, National Account Executive, and District Sales Manager. He also served ten years as a member of the NC State Ports Authority board of directors and as a member of the North Carolina 21st Century Transportation Committee, the Aerotropolis Leadership board, and a member of the North Carolina China Council.

Mr. Plemmons enjoys travel, watersports, skiing, golf, and spending time with his family.
